Dear Kayla

Dear Kayla,

We are soooooooooo happy to welcome you to our family!! We can't wait to meet you. We have heard so many wonderful things about you. You have so many talents and qreat qualities that we can't wait to see! We hope that you know how special you are. We are so excited for you to be our girl and be apart of our forever family for the rest of eternity! We can't wait to talk to you and to meet you!

Love From,

Your Forever Family: Chris (the dad of our family), Christina (the mom of our family) and Landon & Korbin (the brothers of our family)

P.S.- I hope you like your new room!

Kayla, this is your bedroom. You get your very own room!! I just got finished decorating it. I wanted to make it fun and cheerful, so I used bright colors. I put western cowgirl bandana's on the wall, in colors of hot pink and baby blue. I, also, hung up your horse riding, cowgirl hat on the wall. I hope you like your new room!

I think the rug looks like one of those twister mats!

Here's your bed, it's a day bed. I always wanted a day bed when I was a girl, so I thought you might like it.

This is your desk and mirror. I tried to set up an area were you could get ready for school, without having to fight the boys for the bathroom mirror. You can, also, do homework here, but I figure that's not near as fun as curling hair!

Diamond is our dog. We are soooooooo happy that she is home. We had two dogs, but Daisy (the other dog) died and Diamond ran away! She was gone a very long time and we thought she'd never return. But guess what?! She recently came home and ever since she keeps haning out in your room, on the rug. She must know you are coming because she's always there waiting for you.

Here Comes the Sun: Kayla

Kayla is our soon to be daughter, through adoption! She recently turned 10 years old and currently lives in Oregon. She likes collecting barbies, riding bikes, roller skating, singing and dancing. We can't wait to meet her!
(Sorry, I was told I can't put pictures up.)

Having Too Much Fun To Blog

We have had so much fun lately! We've had a Holland Family Reunion, a great yearly event. We've been to Lagoon, an amusement park, as a family. We have been swimming in Pineview a number of times, as a family and with friends. We've been eating at delicious BBQs. Chris and I went to Circleville together, to shoe horses and we stayed in a tent and had a bear in camp! We went camping at Willow Park, in the mountains, near Wyoming with the McDowell family. We went to Hogle Zoo and Korbin was in love with the giraffes! We've seen 4th of July Fireworks and most recently, we went camping at Anderson Cove, in Huntsville, next to the beach! We have about 50% of the pictures on Chris's blackberry, which I don't have with me to download pictures. The others I have on my camera. (I will post the pics off of Chris's phone later.) Hope you enjoy seeing some of what we've been up to!
A picture of me, by Landon. I am holding his fishing lures, if you can't tell. Landon wanted that touch in the photo. :)

Landon caught a fish!

Korbin is quite the little artist! (He loves wearing his bike helmet.)

We have Swallows that have made this nest under our front porch. 3 baby birds have hatched. They are still small, but you can see their big mouths, open wide, waiting for food. They are sooooo cute, even all naked and featherless!

This last weekend, we went to Anderson Cove, in Huntsville. It's a beautiful campsite right on the beach, although, there isn't much beach this year because the water is so high! Here's the little twin boys, Landon and Korbin, cuddling in Landon's top bunk.

Daddy, Landon & Korbin relaxing in the shade.

And lastly, Landon playing in the fire!
