Going Back in Time: Part 8 (New Huntsville Home)

In January 2011 we found a home to buy in Huntsville, UT.  We had tried so very hard to buy a home in Liberty, particularly North Fork, but despite our earnest efforts nothing ever materialized.  We even put full price offers in on 3 homes and never heard back!  When we found the home in Huntsville I initially thought the outside was kind of ugly, but as I peered through the windows I fell in love with the home!  We called our realtor and walked through it with her.  She was worried because bank owned homes can be a pain to deal with. To our surprise they accepted our offer right away and every obstacle we faced was easy to resolve.  Despite our love for North Fork, their was no denying this was meant to be our home.

The home was built in 1976.  The upstairs (main living area) is 2,800 square feet and the unfinished basement is 800 square feet.  The home was in need of some TLC, but we loved the floor plan and could see the potential in it!  The house has 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.  Their is an eat-in kitchen and a seperate formal dinning room.  Their are two sitting areas, a front family room and a smaller back family room with a fireplace.

Now in 2012, we have done a lot of work on the home.  We still have quite a bit more to do, but it is getting finished peice by peice to our liking.  Here are the BEFORE pictures of when we first saw the home.
